HOUSTON (AP) _ Now Inc. (DNOW) on Wednesday reported a third-quarter loss of $22 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 20 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 16 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 23 cents per share.
The energy and industrial distribution company posted revenue of $326 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $313 million.
The company's shares closed at $4.55. A year ago, they were trading at $11.46.
