Compania Electrica del Litoral SA is a Chile-based company principally engaged in the acquisition, distribution and supply of electric energy in the communities of Cartagena Norte, San Sebastian, Guaylandia, Las Cruces, El Tabo, Isla Negra, El Quisco, Algarrobo, Algarrobo Norte, Mirasol, El Yeco, Tunquen and Quintay, which are located in the Valparaiso Region. The Company’s activities also include the installation of electric networks and substations, construction and maintenance of the street lightning and the distribution and reparation of single and three-phase electric joints. In addition, it is involved in the distribution and sale of electric appliances, bicycles, home furnishings and tools. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Generadora Electrica Sauce Los Andes SA and Inmobiliaria del Litoral SA, and Chilquinta Energia SA was its majority shareholder with 75.61% of its interest.
