The Fund’s secondary investment objective is capital appreciation. It invests in preferred securities, short-term investments, interest rate swap contracts, purchased option contracts, written option contracts and forward foreign currency exchange contracts. The Fund invests at least 25% of its net assets in the financial sector. The Fund invests in various sectors, such as utilities, real estate, electric, pipelines, financial, insurance, bank, oil and gas, and integrated telecommunications services.
