CBI's investments are targeted at bio-pharmaceutical companies, which are at different stages of research and development. The Company is a 59%-owned subsidiary of Clal Industries and Investments Ltd. (CII) that is part of IDB group. Clal Biotechnology Industries Ltd. has a number of portfolio companies, namely Andromeda Biotech Ltd., engaged in the field of type 1 diabetes; D-Pharm Ltd and Trombutech, engaged in the field of ischemic stroke; Mediwound Ltd., engaged in burn and wound management; Biokine Ltd, Biocancell Ltd and CureTech, engaged in the field of cancer; Braintact, engaged in the CNS field and Polyheal Ltd, engaged in wound management, among others.
