Chikaranomoto Holdings Co.,Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2019. For the period, revenue was ¥22,293 million against ¥20,226 million reported a year ago. Operating income was ¥704 million against ¥703 million reported a year ago. Income attributable to the company was ¥530 million against ¥523 million reported a year ago. Earnings per share was ¥22.39 compared to ¥22.36 a year ago. Earnings per share after adjusting for dilution was ¥21.98 compared to ¥21.61 a year ago.
For the year ending March 31, 2020, the consolidated company expected revenue of ¥30,010 million, operating income of ¥1,150 million and income attributable to the company of ¥700 million or ¥29.57 per share.
Chikaranomoto Holdings Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the operation of restaurants, as well as the manufacture and sale of ingredients and related products for restaurants. The Company operates in three business segments. The Domestic Store Operation segment is involved in the operation of restaurants under multiple brands such as IPPUDO, RAMEN EXPRESS, GOGYO, Najimatei, PANDA EXPRESS and Inabaudon. The Overseas Store Operation segment is involved in the operation of directly managed restaurants centering on the brand of IPPUDO, as well as the licensing business to local partner companies. The Domestic Sales segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of noodles, cup noodles, soups and seasonings for consumers and restaurants. The Company is also engaged in the overseas product sales business, the consulting business, the franchise business, and the agricultural training business.
