Central Azucarera de Tarlac, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2024. For the third quarter, the company reported revenue was PHP 673.82 million compared to PHP 566.97 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 218.66 million compared to PHP 162.37 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.92 compared to PHP 0.68 a year ago.
For the nine months, revenue was PHP 931.17 million compared to PHP 783.18 million a year ago. Net income was PHP 72.56 million compared to PHP 77.35 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 0.3 compared to PHP 0.32 a year ago.
Central Azucarera de Tarlac, Inc. is a Philippines-based company, which is engaged in the production and sale of sugar and by-products, developing, leasing, and selling real properties and other ancillary services. The Company operates through two segments: Sugar and by-products and Real estate and industrial services. Sugar and by-products segment pertains to the production of sugar (raw and refined) and its by-products, such as molasses, alcohol, and carbon dioxide. Real estate and industrial services segment pertain to developing, leasing, and selling real properties and other ancillary services. The Companyâs sugar mill and refinery has a capacity of approximately 7,200 tons cane and 8,000 50-kilogram bags per day respectively. It has a production capacity of approximately 65,000 gauges liters per day. The Companyâs subsidiary, Luisita Land Corporation (LLC), is engaged in developing, leasing, and selling real properties and other ancillary services.
