EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, made efforts to contribute to mitigate the serious situation in the state of Amazonas, due to the lack of oxygen in hospitals caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Part of the funds contributed by the subsidiary Centrais Elétricas do Norte do Brasil S/A ("Eletronorte"), in the "Saving Lives" Campaign carried out by the Banco Nacional do Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social ("BNDES") was used for the purchase, by Eletronorte, of 100 oxygen cylinders for destination to the State of Amazonas. The cylinders were purchased in São Paulo and are being shipped to Manaus scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

In addition, the Balbina hydroelectric plant of the subsidiary Amazonas Geração e Transmissão de Energia S.A ("Amazonas GT") delivered, on January 17, 2021, 17 oxygen cylinders, belonging to the ambulatory of the village of Balbina, to the Presidente Figueiredo hospital, located in the state of Amazonas, to assist the institution's patients.
