CBIZ, Inc. (NYSE:CBZ) acquired Substantially All Assets of The Wenner Group, LLC for $3.1 million on January 7, 2019. As per the terms, $1.3 million will be payable in cash and $1.8 million in contingent consideration. Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, a portion of the purchase price is contingent on future performance of the business acquired. The Wenner Group's 14 employees and $2.4 million in revenue will be integrated into CBIZ's Denver-based Financial Services practice reporting to Dan Seff, Senior Managing Director.

Financial Services is comprised of core accounting services, including traditional accounting, tax compliance, advisory, and specialty services, like transaction and risk advisory services, litigation support, valuation, and federal and state government health care compliance and consulting. Benefits and Insurance Services provides brokerage and consulting for group health benefits and property and casualty insurance, in addition to retirement plan advisory and investment services. National Practices provides information technology and hardware services and healthcare consulting services. It also maintains a cyber risk management program.
