Linkcity, Bouygues Construction's real estate development subsidiary, announced on Thursday that it had laid the foundation stone for Clos Saint Jacques, a project in Grenoble.

The development - designed by Linkcity and built by Bouygues Bâtiment - includes a 60-unit residence for young professionals, as well as 13 leasehold apartments to promote home ownership by low-income households.

The apartments, ranging from T2 to T5, all have private outdoor spaces (balconies, terraces or loggias).

In terms of environmental performance, the exterior spaces (the heart of the block and the roofs) will be landscaped and planted, and the project will be connected to Grenoble's district heating network, over 85% of which is supplied by green energy.

Photovoltaic panels will also be installed on the roof.

Also located on the site is the Villa Favel, a former manor house, part of Grenoble's heritage and history, which will become a training facility.

Work began in December 2023, with completion scheduled for autumn 2025.
