Boostheat, an energy efficiency specialist currently in turnaround, announced on Thursday that it would attempt to relaunch itself with the launch of software dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT).

This is a so-called 'IoT Edge' solution, which enables data to be processed where it is collected or used, rather than analyzed via the cloud.

This approach is an effective way of rapidly analyzing data in real time, to give machines greater autonomy, for example.

In a press release, Boostheat explains that it has spent the last five years investing in (IoT) software solutions to support its R&D team in improving the energy efficiency of its heat pumps.

This new offering should enable industrial/machine manufacturers, to create digital twins and optimized analytics with more advanced and effective AI that can be used to improve efficiency, productivity and operational performance.

This solution will first be offered as part of an initial test phase, before being rolled out in a second phase, based on a business model to be defined at a later date.

Listed on the Paris Bourse, Boostheat shares were trading at breakeven on Thursday lunchtime, after starting the session on a high note (+20%).
