BlackRock Science and Technology Term Trust (the Trust) is a closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide total return and income through a combination of current income, current gains and long-term capital appreciation. The Trust seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities issued by the United States and non-United States science and technology companies in any market capitalization range, selected for their rapid and sustainable growth potential from the development, advancement and use of science and/or technology. The Trust focuses on sectors, such as semiconductors and semiconductor equipment, software, electronic equipment, instruments and components, entertainment, financial services, automobiles, professional services, diversified consumer services, media and others.
