Roverato, who stepped down as chairman last week, was indicated to lead the company by new major shareholder Dufry, and will take the place of resigning Gianmario Tondato Da Ruos, who has been in the Autogrill group since 2000.

A new board meeting in the coming days will appoint Roverato and the new chairman, as well as the composition of the new board committees, a note says.

The newly co-opted nonexecutive directors are: Bruno Chiomento, Francisco Javier Gavilan, Nicolas Girotto, Marella Moretti, Emanuela Trentin, and Xavier Rossinyol Espel.

The appointments will be effective upon the transfer to Dufry of the 50.3 percent stake held in Autogrill by Edizione through its wholly owned subsidiary Schema Beta.
