Air France-KLM announces the signing of an agreement with GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes aimed at extending and strengthening the commercial partnership that has united the two partners since 2014 for a further 10 years.

Through this new commitment, the partners agree to reciprocal exclusivity on traffic flows between Europe and Brazil, and strengthen their commercial cooperation.

In concrete terms, this will mean better connecting opportunities, an enhanced customer experience, and more benefits for the respective customers, explains the French airline.

Today, one in five customers travelling to Brazil on Air France or KLM continues their journey on a connecting flight operated by GOL.

This strengthened collaboration will also see Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFIKLME&M) extend the maintenance services it provides to GOL, with support for the Brazilian airline's CFM56 and LEAP engines.

Finally, "this new agreement will enable us to implement the structural improvements needed to ensure Air France-KLM and GOL's leading position between Brazil and Europe", commented Benjamin Smith, CEO of Air France-KLM.
