Up by just 0.1% with around half an hour to go before the opening bell, CAC40 futures point to a relative pause in the wake of a buoyant session thanks to encouraging news from across the Atlantic.

As a reminder, the Paris Bourse's flagship index gained nearly 1.6% to 7,333 points on Wednesday, buoyed - as were other European markets - by confirmation of the ongoing disinflation dynamic in the United States.

The annualized rise in consumer prices across the Atlantic slowed in June, to 3% on a gross basis and 4.8% excluding energy and food products, lower than the market was anticipating on average.

"While the Federal Reserve is likely to raise rates again at the end of this month, these data support our view that this should be the last rate hike", commented Commerzbank after the publication.

Still on the subject of statistics, the French consumer price index is due to be published on Thursday, followed by industrial production in the eurozone and producer prices in the USA.

Kaufman & Broad announced on Wednesday evening a 69% increase in net income, group share, to 38.5 million euros for its first half-year, on sales up 47% to 849 million euros.
