The Paris Bourse ended the first session of the week with a gain of 1.32%, at 7324 points, as the 40 stocks making up the CAC rose.

At the end of a session that saw just under two billion euros traded on the Paris market, the day's top performer was Teleperformance, which gained over 5% on the day.

Investors were reassured by China's announcement of new economic support measures. Beijing announced that the tax on stock market transactions would be halved in order to invigorate capital markets and boost investor confidence.

However, questions about global growth are unlikely to go away any time soon. In this respect, a number of statistics due later in the week will be closely watched, such as employment figures in the US (Friday) and the first estimate of consumer prices in the Eurozone for August (Thursday).

On Monday, the yield on ten-year Treasuries fell by -2Pt to 4.21%, after climbing above 4.36% last week, a level not seen for 16 years.

In Europe, the yield on the ten-year German Bund rose symbolically by +1.5Pt to 2.5715%, remaining some 20 points from its worst levels in recent weeks, while our OATs stagnated at +0.6Pt to 3.0950%.

In French company news, Casino announced on Friday evening that the Paris Commercial Court would rule in September on the requests for grace periods relating to the bonds it has issued.

TotalEnergies announced this morning that it is continuing its commitment to its motoring customers, guaranteeing that the price of diesel and gasoline will not exceed 1.99 euros per liter at any of its 3,400 service stations in France until the end of the year.

Plastic Omnium announced that it is building the largest hydrogen storage plant in the USA in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, to supply 'a major American automaker', without specifying the name.

Alstom announces that the SIF consortium it leads, which also includes Sofratesa, has been selected by the Dominican Republic's FITRAM to deliver an Innovia integrated monorail system to the city of Santiago de los Caballeros.

Finally, Renault today unveiled the name of its future international B-segment SUV: Kardian. The vehicle will be presented on October 25 in Rio de Janeiro, before being marketed initially in Latin America.
