Charles Shivery

Shivery is currently the Chairman of Metrohartford Alliance, Inc., the Director of the University of Connecticut Health Center, the Director of The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, the Director of Energy Insurance Mutual Ltd. Co., the Director of Connecticut Business & Industry Association, the Director of Connecticut Science Center, the Director of The Association of Edison Illuminating Cos., Inc., and the Director of Bushnell, Inc. Previously, Mr. Shivery served as the Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Eversource Energy Service Co. He was also the President & Chief Executive Officer of NU Enterprises, Inc. from 2002 to 2003.
He held the position of Chairman at The Connecticut Light & Power Co. Additionally, he served as the Chairman of Public Service Company of New Hampshire from 2007 to 2012, Chairman of Western Massachusetts Electric Co. from 2011 to 2012, and Chairman of Yankee Gas Services Co. from 2007 to 2012.
He was the Chairman of Connecticut Children's Medical Center from 2011 to 2015.
Mr. Shivery has also served as an Independent Director of Webster Financial Corp.
from 2009 to 2018 and as an Independent Director of Portland General Electric Co. from 2014 to 2021.
He has been a Director of Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. and Edison Electric Institute, Inc. He has also served as a Director of Webster Bank, NA. In terms of education, Mr. Shivery completed his undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University and obtained an MBA from the University of Baltimore.
