Zaporizhstal' VAT : PJSC «Zaporizhstal» has reduced consumption of natural gas on 15 % in the first half of 2016

PJSC «Zaporizhstal» from January up to June 2016 along with growth of performance indicators (hot metal on 2,7%, steel on 2,2%, rolled product on 3,6%) has reduced consumption of natural gas on 15,5 million m3 (or more than on 15%).

PJSC 'Zaporizhstal' has reduced consumption of natural gas from 102,7 million m³ in January-June, 2015 to 87,2 million m³ in January-June, 2016. Decreasing of natural gas consumption became possible owing to realisation of the complex program directed on increase of production efficiency and decrease of expenses, introduction of energy-saving projects and modern technics grounded on highly effective use of fuel and energy resources.

In the spring of 2016, PJSC 'Zaporizhstal' together with 'Zaporozhkoks' realised the project on interchange by secondary gases. Presently more cheaper analogue of natural gas is used in Sinter Shop, TPP, group of the Rolling Mill Shops (Blooming, Hot Strip Mill Shop), that is coke-blast furnace and natural-blast furnace mixture. The total amount of investments into the project has made 75 million hryvnyas.

In May 2016, PJSC 'Zaporizhstal' has successfully passed recertification audit of Power Management System on conformity to requirements of the international standard ISO 50001:2011.
