Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 272.118 million compared to TWD 260.474 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 21.206 million compared to operating loss of TWD 16.570 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 143.234 million compared to TWD 119.996 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.96 compared to TWD 0.81 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.95 compared to TWD 0.8 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.95 compared to TWD 0.81 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 0.94 compared to TWD 0.8 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was TWD 626.501 million compared to TWD 593.882 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 3.311 million compared to TWD 86.443 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 155.962 million compared to TWD 107.914 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.04 compared to TWD 0.76 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 1.03 compared to TWD 0.72 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.04 compared to TWD 0.75 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 1.03 compared to TWD 0.71 a year ago.
Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd is principally engaged in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of touch panels and others. The Company operates its business through two segments: Optoelectronic segment and Mechanical and Electronic segment. The Optoelectronic segment provides projection capacitive touch panels and four-wire resistance touch panels. The Mechanical and Electronic segment provides 69- and 161-kilovolt (KV) connection boxes, 69- and 161-KV terminal boxes and 69- and 161-KV power cable protection equipment. Its touch panels are applied in manufacture of smart phones, mobile phones, personal navigation devices and other consumer electronics. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
