Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has reached an agreement with the government of British Columbia that will allow the company to assess the viability of building an LNG plant and export terminal at Grassy Point, near the port city of Prince Rupert. Under the agreement, Woodside will have exclusive rights to pursue long-term land tenure in the southern part of Grassy Point, made up of a 693.6-hectare land parcel and 243.9 hectares of foreshore land.
