Western Areas Limited is an Australia-based mining and exploration company. The Company's core asset is the 100% owned Forrestania nickel project, which is located approximately 400 kilometers east of Perth in Western Australia. The Company is also a sulphide nickel miner producing that is approximately 22,000 to 25,000 nickel tons in ore per annum from its Flying Fox and Spotted Quoll mines. The Company holds the Cosmic Boy Concentrator, which treats the ore and produces nickel concentrate for sale. The Company also includes Cosmos Nickel Operation, which is located approximately 30 kilometers north of Leinster. Its Cosmos lies in the heart of the prolific Leinster-Wiluna nickel camp. The Company is also developing nickel mines at the Odysseus Mine at its Cosmos Nickel Operation.
