　　On the afternoon of June 2, 2021, Tan Xuguang presided over the first phase of the promotion meeting of Shandong Heavy Industry Group's Promise Making and Project Leadership Application. Its purpose was to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Jinping at the Academician Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the 10th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology, which called on all scientific and technological personnel to remember their entrustment, to be self-reliant, and to bravely climb the peak of science and technology. More than 3,200 people from management and key R&D personnel of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and its subsidiary companies such as China National Heavy Duty Truck, Weichai Group, Shantui Co., Ltd., and Zhongtong Bus participated in the meeting online and offline in 46 branch venues.

　　Shandong Heavy Industry Group took the lead in implementing the scientific research project 'Promise Making' and 'Application of Project Leadership' mechanism, which is highly competitive, transparent, and highly targeted. At present, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group and Weichai Group have identified 29 promised projects and 120 projects to be announced. CNHTC and Weichai Group's project awards totaled 150 million and 160 million yuan respectively, of which the single-item award for promised projects was up to 20 million yuan, and the single-item award for the top-ranking projects was up to 7 million yuan. After the announcement of the projects, the scientific researchers dared to take command and make promises. More than 300 people actively bid for the application, and nearly 100 won the bid.
