Salini Impregilo plans to take full advantage of President Donald Trump's plans to invest $1 trillion in infrastructure as it prepares to take part in public tenders for road and railway projects throughout the country, according to Giuseppe Quarta, Executive Vice President P3 and Large Projects at Lane Construction, the Group's U.S. subsidiary.

In an interview published on Jan. 26 across two pages of Milano Finanza, Italy's leading financial tabloid, Quarta said Lane will help Salini Impregilo raise its game in the competitive market thanks to its presence in many U.S. states.

Other projects drawing the Group's interest were sewage works in Washington, D.C., where it has recently completed excavating a hydraulic tunnel, as well as some involving transport in Los Angeles, he said.
Another objective was to extend Lane's international operations, helping it apply its expertise in roads and highways in many more countries, he added.
