Wallix announced the launch of Wallix AdminBastion Suite. The new product integrates password management, access management, monitoring and comprehensive session recording into a single platform available via a web portal. Designed on a non-intrusive architecture, the company believes that the new WAB Suite is the easiest solution to implement, use and manage in the market and can be installed within a day, making it three times faster to implement than its nearest competitor.

A study undertaken last year shows that 55% of all cyber-attacks were carried out by people who had privileged access to an organization's IT system. These vulnerabilities are caused by weaknesses in the control and monitoring of privileged accounts that are made available to administrators, super users and external service providers. Shared accounts and lax passwords make it particularly difficult to revoke access for users who no longer need it.

Irrespective of the size of the organization, this area represents the greater risk to its cyber-security. Where information security professionals are facing a loss of control over an ever-growing number of users with privileges and an inability to monitor the use of privileged accounts. Current solutions for the management of privileged access are complicated and may require very time and resource intensive deployment and adoption.

Wallix believes that five conditions must be met for more efficient management of privileged access: 1.Passwords: The ability to generate, hide, disclose, change or sustain passwords targets and secure them in a certified safe. 2. Access control: The ability to define, award and easily revoke access to each system for each privileged user. 3. Monitoring: The ability to view and control the connections and user activity on systems as well as generate alerts on events.

4. Registration: The ability to watch video recordings of privileged user sessions. 5. Audit: The ability to create reliable and enforceable audit trail of all activities of privileged users on the target systems. Wallix AdminBastion combines these five requirements into one Suite that can be deployed in just hours, and without having any impact on the existing IT infrastructure. For existing Wallix customers the decision to test the beta version of the new solution was based on the advantages it offered in terms of deployment and management.

Just a few hours training is all that is needed to get it up and running. Whereas other solutions would require the installation of multiple modules, Wallix AdminBastion Suite provides it all in one. Wallix offers AdminBastion Suite in a full range of deployment options including on-site, virtualized, hosted, or cloud-based.

Wallix AdminBastion Suite will be available from the end of first quarter of 2016. Wallix AdminBastion Suite is previewed at the 8th International Cyber Security Forum - FIC 2016 that will be held at the Lille Grand Palais on 25th & 26th January 2016.
