RECORD SALES IN 2011

Wal-Mart de México, S.A.B. de C.V. (WALMEX) announces to its shareholders as well as to the public in general that during 2011, sales amounted to $379,021 million pesos. This figure represents a 13.3% increase over sales reported in 2010. During the month of December 2011, sales increased 12.4% over sales reported the same month last year.

"I am very pleased with the 13.3% sales increase achieved in
2011; which favorably compares with the
9.3% pro-forma increase in 2010*. The sales growth rate sped
up at the end of the year, reaching a
15.6% increase for the fourth quarter.
Sales floor area increased 12.8%, as a result of investing in
the opening of 441 stores, which added
7,023,272 sq. ft. Our investment is also an opportunity for
thousands of local suppliers; thanks to their support we were
able to bring our value proposition to 467 cities in Mexico
and Central America. I am
also grateful with the 238,128 associates that collaborate in
Walmart de México y Centroamérica for
their commitment and effort to serve the 5 million customers
who visit our 2,709 stores every day."

Sales for the Fourth Quarter 2011 (October-December) were
$115,463 million pesos. This figure represents a 15.6%
increase over sales reported the same period last year.
In December 2011, sales amounted to $48,608 million pesos.
This figure represents a 12.4% increase over sales reported
the same month last year.

Mexico SalesThroughout 2011, total sales for Mexico amounted to $329,690 million pesos. This figure represents an
11.5% increase over sales reported in 2010 and a comp stores growth of 3.8%.
Sales for the Fourth Quarter 2011 (October-December) were
$100,435 million pesos. This figure represents a 15.3% total
sales increase and a 7.1% comp growth.
During December, total sales amounted to $42,221 million
pesos, an 11.2% increase for total sales and a

2011 Openings
During 2011 we opened 441 units, which represented an
increase of 12.8% in total sales floor: of 13.2%
for Mexico and of 9.8% for Central America.

Repurchase of SharesDuring the year we invested $3,455 million pesos in the repurchase of 103,220,000 Company shares.
Corporate Social Responsibility
In December, Walmart de México y Centroamérica was included
in the Mexican Stock Exchange's sustainable index. The
company was rated by EIRIS, a consulting firm specialized in
responsible investment along with the faculty of "Universidad
Anáhuac del Sur" (Anáhuac University of the South) on three
main categories: environment, society and corporate
governance.
Walmart de México Foundation (WMF) donated over 250 tons of
food and channeled more than 10,000 pieces of winter
clothing. These clothes were donated by Suburbia customers
through the "Nutre y Abriga una Esperanza" (Nourish
and shelter the Hope) campaign, to help 6,000 families
affected by the food crisis in the municipalities o, Urique,
Guachochi and Bocoya in the Sierra Tarahumara, located in the
State of Chihuahua.
WMF also supported 23 NGO's in eight states of the country
through a 50 million pesos donation in order to fund projects
that aim to fight hunger, promote de development of
marginalized communities and empower women.
In Costa Rica the company donated over $100.000 dollars,
through the fundraising campaign "Soy Pilita,
¿me ayudas a conservar el PILA?", (I'm Pilita, help me
preserve the PILA!). The donation was made to the
Biodiversity Instituto (INBio) in order to fund studies on
climate change and biodiversity in La Amistad
National Park which shelters nearly 1% of the world's
biodiversity and was declared world heritage by
UNESCO in 1983.
CFH International and the Honduran Council of the Private
Enterprise (COHEP) granted the "Construyendo un Mundo Mejor"
(Building A Better World) award to Walmart de México y
Centroamérica, for its efforts in promoting HIV prevention
initiatives and raising awareness on the subject.
Walmart the México y Centroamérica acted as a founding
partner in a food bank opened in Honduras. This institution
promotes nutrition for children under five and adults living
in food poverty.
WALMEX is a Retail Sector company whose shares are traded in
the Mexican Stock Exchange since
1977. As of December, it operates 2,709 units, broken down as
follows:
