Volkswagen AG has introduced the all-new Virtus C-segment sedan in Brazil. The model is to replace the outgoing Vento in the market and is essentially the sedan version of the sixth generation Polo hatchback. The model is to be priced from BRL 59,990. It will also be available for sale in other markets in the coming months. The vehicle is identical to the sixth generation Polo. It is underpinned by the same MQB A0 platform as the hatchback. Interiors features include a massive 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with MirrorLink and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It will be available with a choice of a 1.6-litre engine that produces 108bhp, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.0-litre turbocharged TSI engine that produces 127bhp, paired to a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
