Veidekke has signed a contract with Statnett SF for the rehabilitation of their administration building at Sunndalsora in Sunndal municipality.

The assignment is a turnkey contract and the contract sum is just over NOK 125 million excl. VAT.

Statnett and Veidekke have carried out an interaction phase to develop the project, which has now been carried out. The administration building at Sunndalsora is approximately 3,300 m 2 , and it was developed in five building stages in the period 1978-2008. Both the building and technical standards are from the construction years in question, with some minor upgrades along the way.

The building's technical standard deviates from current regulatory requirements, including requirements for both energy efficiency, air quality, universal design and when it comes to external security measures. Furthermore, the area efficiency and flexibility in the building is considered to be low as a result of the building's divided construction stages and extensive use of cell offices. Surfaces, windows and roofing are characterized by wear and tear and have significantly exceeded their expected lifespan.

The building stock is to be rebuilt so that it meets Statnett's needs going forward and completely rehabilitated so that it meets today's requirements and standards (TEK 17).

The construction work will start in February, and should be completed in mid-2024. The assignment is part of Veidekke's order reserve for the fourth quarter of 2022.
