The Supervisory Board of Kempen & Co announces that Jan Willem Meeuwis (56) will
step down as chairman and director of Kempen & Co with effect from 1 June 2010.
He will be succeeded by John Hak (43), currently a member of the management team
of Kempen & Co.

Jan Willem Meeuwis has decided to step down; for personal reasons he no longer
wishes to hold the position of chairman of the management team and wants to
focus on other activities and interests. He has been a member of the management
team of Kempen & Co since 1 October 2008, and chairman of the management team as
from 1 January 2009.

John Hak joined Kempen & Co in 1990 and held various positions within Corporate
Finance. He has been a director of Kempen & Co since 1 December 2009. In
addition to his new position as chairman of the management team John Hak will
remain responsible for the Corporate Finance business unit and for the
investment arm of the company.

The Supervisory Board of Kempen & Co/Board of Managing Directors of Van Lanschot
NV and the management team would like to extend their gratitude to Jan Willem
Meeuwis for his contribution to the success of the company. Kempen & Co has been
able to make significant progress in pursuing the refined strategy of the bank,
thanks in part to his involvement, in particular by further extending and
improving the effectiveness of Kempen & Co's external networks and by managing
the effective marketing of Kempen & Co.

As at 1 June 2010 Kempen & Co NV's management team consists of four members:
John Hak (chairman), Michel van de Coevering (CFO), Paul Gerla and Joof Verhees.

Kempen & Co has formed part of Van Lanschot since January 2007.
