On January 15, 2015 the daily newspaper Lidové noviny published an article with the title "Association of Petroleum Industry and Trade put a veto on Unipetrol" that contains some statements that cause damage to the reputation of Unipetrol.

We strongly object to the argument that there was an ongoing dispute between Unipetrol and other shareholders of the company Česká rafinérská (companies Shell and ENI). This claim is anonymous and unsupported with any concrete example .Quite the contrary, Unipetrol has always respected and still appreciate cooperation with other shareholders in Česká rafinérská and we have always considered our mutual relationships as very correct.

Text of Lidové noviny also provides a statement that "Unipetrol changed with few exceptions in the Czech Republic managers in key positions for its people from Poland". It is untrue. In fact, the actual number of Polish managers in the company, which hires  3607 employees is 26 managers. Furthermore, we observe steady decrease of  the polish representation.

We believe that the conservative daily newspaper Lidové noviny will present in the future its statements based on serious data and specific sources that do not provide their statements only on the condition of anonymity.
