UniCredit, Fabi representative leads Trade Union Alliance group

Fabi, Europe's leading banking union, reports that its representative in UniCredit, Stefano Cefaloni, has assumed the leadership of the Trade Union Alliance, the transnational alliance of group unions affiliated with Uni Global Union.

In a note, Fabi also reports that four of its representatives, Giuseppe Angelini, Francesco Colasuonno, Mariangela Peschechera and Paola Cogli Ciccarelli, were appointed to the Cae, UniCredit's European Works Council, which met between Jan. 23 and 25.

"With the representatives on the Cae from their respective countries, they also discussed the situation in Slovakia, which last December led to a four-day mobilization (in which there was strong support for wage claims) and the acquisition ... of Alpha Bank in Romania that will lead to the creation of the country's third bank," Cefaloni comments.
