TotalEnergies reports that it has completed the implementation of the agreements signed in March 2023 with Canadian food retailer Couche-Tard, and has received a total cash amount after adjustments and before taxes of 3.4 billion euros.

As a reminder, the transaction involved the sale by TotalEnergies of its service station networks in Germany and the Netherlands, and the creation of a joint venture (TotalEnergies 40%, Couche-Tard 60%) for those in Belgium and Luxembourg.

The French oil and gas group will continue to supply service stations in these four countries for at least five years, thanks in particular to its refineries in Antwerp (Belgium) and Leuna (Germany).
