TotalEnergies has announced the commissioning at the Centre Scientifique et Technique Jean Féger (CSTJF) in Pau of the new generation of its supercomputer, Pangea 4, which calculates twice as fast as its predecessor, 24 hours a day.

Initially developed to support TotalEnergies' exploration-production activities, Pangea is now open to all its activities, thus serving the company's energy transition.

It can now meet the needs of TotalEnergies' new activities, such as wind flow simulations, reservoir storage capacities for carbon storage, and methane emission reduction calculations.
