Torque Metals Ltd (ASX:TOR) MD Cristian Moreno speaks with Proactive after announcing the company has hit notably high-grade mineralisation in diamond drilling at the New Dawn Lithium Project in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, with intercepts assaying up to 2.45% lithium. The inaugural drilling program over 6,628 metres consisted of four diamond drill holes for which assays have been received from two holes and 19 reverse circulation (RC) holes. Assays are pending from the other two diamond holes along with the RC holes.
"Confirmation of high-grade lithium mineralisation at depth, as well as exciting visual observations of shallow RC intervals underscores our confidence,” he said. “I believe we are just touching on a significant lithium-tantalum deposit probably representing an extension of the adjacent Bald Hill mineralised system."
