JT Hand, President & CEO of The York Water Company (NASDAQ: YORW), announced today that following over two years of construction to renovate the Lake Williams Dam, York Water in cooperation with the York County Parks Department will reopen its Lake Williams Reservoir for boating recreation beginning at 6:00 AM on Saturday, May 25.

Hiking trails throughout the over 1,600-acre William Kain Park remain open except for the immediate area around the Lake Williams Dam construction site that surrounds the dam. Community members are reminded that there is a small portion between hiking trails 2 and 4 that remains closed due to active construction. York Water anticipates that this work will be completed, and all trails will be fully accessible by the end of June.

President Hand stated, "York Water is excited to kick off the Summer of 2024 by opening Lake Williams to the public this Memorial Day Weekend. We have been working towards this holiday weekend and look forward to seeing boaters exploring the lake once more. The York Water team is thankful to our project partners - Gannet Fleming and Kinsley Construction - for their commitment and dedication to helping us reach this important milestone. And we appreciate the community for their patience through the entire project."

York Water reminds the public to help protect our lake from aquatic hitchhikers and aquatic invasive species. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has tips available at www.fishandboat.com. Remember to clean your gear - It's the Law.

The York Water Company is honored to provide water and wastewater services to over 210,000 people in 56 communities and visitors in Adams, Franklin, York, and Lancaster counties.
