The Cochin Malabar Estates and Industries Limited is an India-based plantation company. The Company is engaged in carrying on the business of rubber and tea plantations in the state of Kerala and Karnataka. It produces centrifuged latex made specially for condom manufacturing factories. It offers stabilized concentrated form of latex, smoked sheets, crepes and crumb/block rubber in a variety of grades. The Company has three rubber estates in Kerala admeasuring approximately 5225 acres. It also has one tea estate admeasuring Idukki District, Kerala. This estate is being fully uprooted in a phased manner and is being replanted. The Company has diversified activities, such as Fire Engineering Division at Bombay and an aqua culture farm in Goa on an approximately 106 acres for cultivation of tiger prawns, shrimps, and other varieties. It also has 100% EOU rubber wood processing factory for converting the rubber wood into hard and strong wood by chemical treatment.
