Highlights during the period include:
• 'Statement of materiality and significant audiences' included in the 2016 Annual and Sustainability Report Governance Statement, highlighting the Board of Directors' commitment to integrating sustainable, responsible business practices into business and strategy.
• Final settlement of USD 965 million reached with US and Dutch authorities regarding Telia Company's entry into Uzbekistan and related financial transactions.

• Telia Company joined as a full member of the Global Network Initiative, promoting freedom of expression and privacy.
'In September, we finally reached the settlement that ends an unfortunate chapter in the company's history. The resolution and related financial sanction is a painful reminder of what the company did wrong and why implementing sustainable business practices, with strong corporate governance, compliance and a clear tone from the top at the core, has been a vital part of last years' change journey. We see clear proof that transparency and cooperation pay off in rebuilding stakeholder trust,' says Johan Dennelind, CEO of Telia Company in the CEO letter.
Included in the report are law enforcement statistics covering the first six months of 2017. The full 2017 Law Enforcement Disclosure Report will be released alongside the 2017 Annual & Sustainability Report.
