(Alliance News) - Telecom Italia Spa has announced that it has acquired TS-Way, an Italian company specializing in cyber attack prevention and analysis services.

The deal was finalized through Telsy, a group company focused on cybersecurity, which operates within TIM Enterprise.

"Specifically, the acquisition will enable the strengthening of cyber threat intelligence and services related to predictive defense. The goal is to prevent cyber risks and incidents also through research activities on vulnerabilities not yet publicly known and at the same time to enhance the offer of solutions and services in the security field. The strengthening of these areas will foster integration with the activities already carried out entirely in Italy by the Security Operation Centers and Response Teams of the TIM group," the company explained in a note.

TIM trades down 3.2 percent at EUR0.27 per share.
