Swiss Re Ltd (SWX:SREN) has said that it is interested in buying Oriental Bank of Commerce (BSE:500315) (OBC) stake in Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Company Limited. The company has submitted its expression of interest (EoI) to acquire OBC's 23% stake in (JV) Canara HSBC Oriental Life Insurance. The EoI has valued the JV at INR 65 billion.
Non-binding bids are expected from interested parties by the end of January 2019.
