Sugar Creek Financial Corp. is a holding company for Tempo Bank (the Bank). The Bank is engaged primarily in the business of attracting deposits from the general public and using these funds to originate primarily one-to four-family residential mortgage loans located in the Clinton, St. Clair, Madison and Bond County, Illinois area. The Company offers single-family owner and non-owner-occupied residential loans, commercial and multi-family real estate loans, land loans and consumer loans. The Company invests in a range of liquid assets, including the United States Treasury obligations, securities of various federal agencies and of state and municipal governments, mortgage-backed securities and certificates of deposit of federally insured institutions. Deposits and loan repayments are the Company's sources of funds for lending and other investment purposes.
