Suedzucker AG announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended November 30, 2016. For the quarter, revenues were EUR 1,700 million against EUR 1,618 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 200 million against EUR 174 million a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 118 million against EUR 64 million a year ago. Profit from operations was EUR 133 million against EUR 90 million a year ago.

For the nine months, revenues were EUR 4,905 million against EUR 4,949 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 540 million against EUR 410 million a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 327 million against EUR 198 million a year ago. Income from operations was EUR 356 million against EUR 231 million a year ago.

For the full year of fiscal 2017, the company continues to forecast group consolidated revenues of EUR 6.4 to EUR 6.6 (previous year: 6.4) billion. The group's consolidated operating result is now expected to range between EUR 380 and EUR 410 (previous year: 241) million, driven mainly by improved sugar segment results. A positive result ranging between EUR 90 and EUR 120 million is now expected, following last year's negative result of EUR 79 million.
