SK Jewellery Group Limited provided earnings guidance for the six months for the financial period ending June 30, 2020. For the period, the company expects to report a net loss after tax for the six months financial period ending June 30, 2020. The expected net loss is mainly due to the decline in the Group's revenue as a result of the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. As set out in the Company's announcement on 30 April 2020, the Group's retail outlets in Singapore and Malaysia have been closed for extended periods in first half of 2020, in accordance with the Circuit Breaker and Movement Control Order implemented in Singapore and Malaysia, respectively, in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. These outlets remain closed as at the date of this announcement. Notwithstanding the above, the Group has been actively ramping up its online marketing initiatives, such as the strengthening of retail E-shops and online channels such as Lazada and Shopee, as well as social media engagement and sales. Together with these initiatives, the Group will continue to work on strengths to build competitiveness and grow revenue in the post Covid-19 environment.
