Showa reported earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2015. For the period, the company's net income increased 69.8% year on year to JPY 11.6 billion (USD 96.9 million). However, the company's operating income declined by 18.9% year on year to JPY 16.3 billion, mainly due to a 1.5% year on year drop in net sales to JPY 268.4 billion. The results are in sharp contrast to those of other Japanese companies, whose sales revenues and earnings have been boosted by a weak yen.

For year 2015/16, the company expects net sales of JPY 272 billion, up slightly from year 2014/2015. Operating and net income are expected at JPY 16.6 billion and JPY 8.7 billion, respectively.
