Savills : expands investment team in Italy

International real estate advisor Savills has appointed two investment specialists to join its Milan-based team. Marco Montosi and Giacomo De Feo have both joined Savills from Cushman & Wakefield. Marco Montosi will head up Savills investment team and act as Director of Retail. Giacomo De Feo will become Director of Office Investment.

'As the Southern European markets have witnessed a marked recovery in the last couple of years, investors have shown a renewed confidence in the Italian commercial property market,' says Gianni Flammini, Head of Savills Italy. Marco and Giacomo have a wealth of experience in the retail and office markets respectively and this will allow us to strengthen our local presence.'

According to research from Savills, in the first half of 2015, 77 % investment volume in Italy was secured by international players. 'Cross border investors are driving the momentum as international capital is moving across all European markets and Italy is offering interesting investment opportunities, including iconic assets and large portfolios,' comments Marcus Lemli, Head of European Investment at Savills. 'Our investment team in Italy will work closely with our European and global network to ensure that our clients are exposed to investment opportunities in all key markets.'
