The National Union of Teachers, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has sold the Grade I listed Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham in Lincolnshire to Talash Hotels for an undisclosed sum.

The country manor house hotel offers 96 bedrooms in total, with 20 located in the main house, 52 in a self-contained former stable block and a further 24 in a woodland lodge. The property has been partly refurbished to a high specification and also features a reception hall, lounge, terrace bar, restaurant and leisure club with swimming pool.

Set within 28 acres (11 hectares) of landscaped gardens and grounds, the hotel has a strong trade as a conference and function venue. It is located adjacent to an 18 hole golf course, approximately 4.5 miles from Grantham and 23 miles from Nottingham.

Tom Cunningham, hotels director at Savills, comments: 'Stoke Rochford Hall has a strong year-round trade thanks to its established conference and leisure facilities. With the experience of the new owners, it also offers a significant opportunity to enhance the long term income.'
