Savills, on behalf of Ilapak Ltd, has acquired 29 Riverside Way, an industrial unit in Uxbridge from SEGRO.

The packaging solutions firm has agreed to a new 10-year lease for space totalling 11,364 sq ft (1,055 sq m). Previously located in Hayes, the move to Uxbridge follows Hillingdon Council's decision to re-zone Ilapak's old premises for residential use.

Matt Ryan, surveyor in the industrial & logistics team at Savills, comments: 'Riverside Way offers high quality industrial space in a well connected location with good staff amenities nearby. We are continuing to see significant swathes of industrial land converted to residential use making it increasingly difficult for occupiers to both relocate and fulfil outstanding requirements, for this reason we are very pleased to have secured this unit for Ilapak's use.'
