Samwonsteel Co., Ltd. (KOSE:A023000) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to KRW 2,000 million worth of its shares, pursuant to a trust contract with Mirae Asset Daewoo Co., Ltd. The purpose of the program is to stabilize stock price and improve shareholder’s value. The program will expire on October 31, 2021. As of October 30, 2019, the company had 0 shares in treasury within scope available for dividend and under other capacities.
SAMWONSTEEL Co.,Ltd. is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacture of steel products. The Company mainly provides rolled products, materials processing, pipes and leaf springs. Its rolled products include round and square edge flat bars used in leaf springs for suspension systems, as well as round bars. Its materials processing include peeled bars and centerless ground (CGP) bars. Its pipes are used as part of stabilizers bars and torsion beams in vehicle suspension systems. Its leaf springs include leaf springs for automobiles such as multi-leaf springs, parabolic leaf springs and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets, such as Japan, China, India, America, Poland and others.
