(Alliance News) - The board of directors of Salvatore Ferragamo Spa announced Thursday that it reported fiscal year 2022 revenues of EUR1.25 billion from EUR1.13 billion in the same period last year.

The retail distribution channel reported, as of Dec. 31, 2022, net sales up 11 percent from the same period in 2021 to EUR923.5 million from EUR829.7 million in 2021.

The wholesale channel reported, as of Dec. 31, 2022, sales up 14 percent from the same period in 2021, to EUR336.1 million from EUR295.9 million in the same period last year.

The Asia-Pacific region reported net sales down 4.6 percent compared to FY2021, but was still the region with the highest result. The slowdown was mainly due to effects from the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly in China.

The company reported that all major product categories posted significant sales growth over FY2021, with footwear and leather goods accounting for 87 percent of total net sales in FY2022.

On Thursday, Ferragamo closed 0.5 percent in the red at EUR18.48 per share.
