ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) _ Raytheon Technologies Corporation (RTX) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $1.42 billion.

The Arlington, Virginia-based company said it had net income of 96 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.27 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.24 per share.

The an aerospace and defense company posted revenue of $18.09 billion in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $18.2 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $5.2 billion, or $3.50 per share. Revenue was reported as $67.07 billion.

Raytheon Technologies expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.90 to $5.05 per share, with revenue in the range of $72 billion to $73 billion.
