Media platform RUMAG is getting a second chance now that some brand rights have been sold. Parent company Just Another Media Company and RUMAG went bankrupt in late May, leaving losses of up to 10 million euros, RTLZ reports.

Just Another Media Company (JAMC) was founded in the summer of 2021 by a group of media entrepreneurs and investors, including presenter Humberto Tan, Kees de Koning of music label Top Notch and Bert Habets, former top executive of RTL Group.

JAMC took off with a handful of social media platforms, including the well-known RUMAG. This company achieved media successes including funny sayings, with the company's signature dots behind each word. Other components were Fares Masharawi's ParraTV, Dennis Gerritsen's Darum and ComplexNL.

Now it appears that it never made a single penny in profit. In its more than three-year existence, the company posted a 6.9 million euro loss.

In April, managing director Michel Palmen stepped down. At the end of May, JAMC, RUMAG and another subsidiary went bankrupt. 27 employees and 12 freelancers lost their jobs.
