Stifel reaffirms its 'hold' recommendation on Rémy Cointreau, with a price target lowered from 110 to 105 euros, in the wake of 2025-26 earnings estimates cut by 5% on average for the spirits house.

'The rebound in cognac in the last quarter of 2024 does not change the overall picture for this category, which is still in great difficulty', judges the broker, who prefers to stay away until there is more evidence of stabilization in cognac.

"Management has not committed to targets for fiscal 2025, but initial remarks have been negative, with the US cognac market expected to recover in the second half of 2025 (October 2024-March 2025) at best", he stresses.
