Each quarter we produce a market review based on the themes discussed at our Strategic Asset Allocation Committee. This quarters' review focuses on:

  1. The progression of inflation over 2013 will be a key determinant of the outlook for the US  stock market
  2. A world of financial repression: volatility is likely to be greater, returns lower and safe  havens fewer
  3. European equities are cheap versus US equities on an adjusted price earnings basis but  significant valuation differences exists within the market
  4. Increasing signs of an improving outlook: amongst emerging economies supports an  overweight position for growth portfolios
  5. Investors are having to take more risk in search of yield
